A native of South Wales now living in York, Julian qualified from Leeds Dental Institute in 1992 and worked at various practices in the York area before joining Elmet Dental Care as a partner in April 2009. In 2017, he and his wife Karima became the owners of the practice, with a shared vision of continuing to provide gentle, high-quality dental care in a caring and friendly environment.
Having taken a step back from his clinical role, Julian no longer sees patients but remains closely involved in the practice, mentoring the team and helping to guide the continued development of Elmet Dental Care. He is passionate about improving the services the practice offers, listening to patients’ feedback and supporting the implementation of fresh ideas wherever possible.
Julian has always been committed to postgraduate training and keeping up to date with the rapid advances in modern dentistry. He has completed further studies in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry at Tipton Training in Manchester and has a keen interest in preventative dentistry and minimally invasive approaches to patient care.
Outside of work, Julian loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.
